The Peddler Steak House released a statement after a person was burned while working at the restaurant on Tuesday.The restaurant released the following statement on Wednesday:”To Our Valued Guests and Community,As many of you may have heard, a serious accident occurred earlier today at The Peddler. While an outside contractor was working on updates to our patio, a concrete sealant unexpectedly combusted, resulting in an explosion in our dining room.One of the contractors fortunately escaped without injury. Tragically, the other suffered severe burns to his legs and arms. Our hearts and prayers go out to him and his family during this incredibly difficult time.We also want to recognize the incredible bravery of the uninjured contractor, who repeatedly risked his own safety to help his colleague and prevent the fire from spreading further into the restaurant. His selflessness and courage are deeply appreciated by all of us.We are equally grateful to the Parker Fire Department. Their rapid response was nothing short of remarkable and played a critical role in saving the restaurant we all know and love.To our beloved Greenville community: thank you. Your outpouring of love and support means the world to us.”
