Cyber Monday home office deals: Last chance to save

Welcome to my live round-up of Cyber Monday deals on home office essentials – from office furniture and laptops to the stationery every business pro needs. I’ll be bringing you all the latest deals you can still get, for as long as the sales continue.

Remember, Cyber Monday ends at midnight tonight, so there’s not long to go now.

I’m a self-confessed notebook addict. They clutter my desk drawer, cupboards, bookshelves. If there’s a flat surface, I just see that as a space to leave another half-filled notebook until I need it again. And while I love my Moleskine’s, this &And Per Se dotted notebook caught my eye for being so cheap for Cyber Monday.

New websites
For new websites and beginners, I would look for a host that makes WordPress easier to use or one that comes with an easy to use website builder. While there are many tutorials for WordPress online and most hosts give you a load of templates it can still be rather difficult to get to grips with.

Just be careful with using website builders that come with hosts because some create websites that cannot be migrated to other hosts. This can be a costly and time consuming issue to fix if you want to change where your site is hosted in the future.

My top two picks for new sites and beginners are Hostinger and Bluehost.

Existing websites
For existing websites I would gather up as much information you can for your site. What is the current resource use and what was the peak resource use are two of the most important questions to answer. Then, pass this information to sales support and you’ll be able to make sure your new hosting can support your site.

Management means different things to different hosts. What one host might call managed is only semi managed. Check what’s included in your current plan and what you’re used to receiving and ensure that the new host offers the level of support you need.

My top picks for existing websites are Cloudways, SiteGround, and ScalaHosting depending on the level of support and resources that you need.

I’ve bought many, many notebooks in recent years – and the Moleskine ones are always my top choice. The hardcover is my favorite because I don’t always have the luxury of a table to write at – but there are a few different versions on sale.”

Cyber Monday is over in the UK – at least on paper. If you’re quick, you can still grab a few deals, but now is when I expect to see prices rise, stocks to fall, and all those Black Friday and Cyber Monday banners, tags, and labels to disappear – until next year, at least.

Our first UK casualty of the post-Cyber Monday price rises.

The Epson EcoTank ET-4800 is our senior printer editor’s number one Cyber Monday deal, and while it’s holding its price in the US at $200 (was $300), in the UK it’s risen from the £218 deal price to £230 (was £320).

Still, it’s technically discounted for now and at this price, well worth checking out.

I’ve checked on my favorite office seating for every budget – all three of these feature in my guide to the best office chairs, and they’re all still discounted for Cyber Monday in the US and UK. Get ’em while they’re good.

There are still savings – but not as many now

Cyber Monday is officially over – but try telling the retailers that. I’ve gone through every product in this list, adjusting prices and removing anything that’s no longer discounted in the US and UK. And there are still some bargains to be had.

At the time of writing, everything here is still available at a deal price. However, some of those prices have risen, particularly in my cheap home office deals section for items under $50 / £50. I’ve removed many more that returned to full price.

So, get ’em while they’re cheap. I don’t expect most of them to be on a deal soon.
